Current thoughts while I'm caught up:
LIBERTE: I literally don't want anyone on this tribe to go home! I like all of the characters so far, and I would feel bad if Jessica was eliminated in the first round simply for being the replacement, because her strategy of laying low is not going to work in her favor because as Jacob said, there have been no personality clashes and the other 5 have already bonded. Second round, and it would be alright in my books to eliminate her then.
Amanda: For this big reputation Amanda has it doesn't seem like she is doing much strategically. She says there has been no strategy talk but things have been happening on this tribe. Red flag. It seems as if she has a decent chance of going before a swap or merge? After Jessica she seems like the most likely to go at this point because Vic seems more suspicious of Amanda instead of Taylor.
Cristina: I'm loving her! Good on her for being so aware for her first ORG about Taylor, but I don't recall much awareness about the threat that is Vic, who is really running things on her tribe. I just don't see her making moves for herself I see her as a puppet for Vic to play with until she grows weary of him and tries to pull something (see Brittany- iS Venezuela).
Jacob: I laughed out loud at a couple points in his confessionals. He's made an alliance with Vic, which I'm ok with because he is Vic's #1 as well, and I think Jacob has a brain in there to strategically work around Vic unlike Cristina. I see him staying a long time, which I'm glad for!
Jessica: She isn't taking advantage of this chance she has been given. If you're coming in late, you've gotta find a crack to slide into instead of waiting around. She's nice and I enjoyed her first confessional, but everyone else is nice on this tribe, so they are going to feel safer with the people they've bonded with for an extra 1.5 days.
Taylor: Being painted as a BIG threat by some people in the tribe (Cristina, Vic, Jacob), but for some reason is avoiding the hot seat that Jessica is in right now, which shows his skill to make connections. I'm rooting for him to find a way out of his only shallow grave he has at the moment.
Vic: An alpha male/kingpin that I am rooting for? whatisthis. Totally at this point would love to see him run things for a while. But usually I get annoyed at these people so I'm sure I will ask myself what I was thinking down the line in a few episodes. He is very aware and I'm actually a little mad that I guess Ricky told him to shorten his confessional lengths.
LES CAYES: Conversely on this tribe I still don't care for that many people, and would like to see most of them get the boot for other characters to have more time to shine. Strange to me how the Liberte tribe and this tribe seem to be polar opposites on my likability scale. If this tribe loses, Chandni or Kevin are the ones in trouble, probably Kevin being target #1 of Charlie's who is running things. Isn't it weird how none of the Survivor ORG Wiki people are starting off well in this?
Ashlee: The one I can say I really like on this tribe. I love the fact that she is taking notes and Facebook stalking, shows her dedication! In the top spot on the tribe with Hodges, but I think she has a better shot at making it far due to potentially taking a backseat behind the "duo" of Charlie and Hodges who are "playing both sides" according to Kevin and Chandni, if that makes any sense. I think she's in the best spot, long story short.
Chandni: She hasn't posted a confessional yet which makes me sad because we were so hyped for her and I am losing the initial hype I had for her. I don't think she is going to be in trouble right away but after the first vote she will find herself on an island, and will probably crash and burn, so unless Les Cayes is a challenge dominator all of a sudden which would shock me, we can kiss Kirin 2.0 goodbye soon.
Charlie: Not really a fan yet. Yet. He's got a good head on his shoulders and he's got the time for this game, but I get gamebot vibes from him, so no me gusta. (Yes I know he said he found Katie/Kevin/Chandni annoying = emotion) He just seems negative from his confessionals, so I'd like to see his fun side in the scavenger hunt and THEN I can probably warm up to #TeamCharlie!
Hodges: An enigma to me. He says he's outgoing, he's an extrovert, he's got all this personality, he's got all these people warming up to him and wanting to work with him, BUT I don't see the personality from his confessionals. Like Charlie, I'd want to see his personality in either the scavenger hunt or a video of a Skype call to see this Hodges everyone likes, because the Hodges I see in the confessionals doesn't equate to all of hat he is saying and doing.
Katie: It may just be the reputation everyone gave her as backstabbing (Ricky, Amanda, I think Nikki?), but I am not interested in Katie at the moment. I can see her as someone who will get bored and will try to do something, but will not know that she is really 4th in her tribe's pecking order, so I kind of hope that she can crash and burn to give someone like Chandni or Kevin another chance at making a swap or merge.
Kevin: I'm so disappointed in Kevin! I like that he seems to be trying to make connections, but his approach is literally killing him. I think his performance in this challenge will determine his fate in the game, and whether he will be going first or second on this tribe, not much to work with, but it's at least a way to not go home right away, and maybe something will happen (see Katie).
JACMEL: And then there's Jacmel, the tribe I have mixed feelings for. This tribe isn't going ideally where I'd like it to go because of who I like and who I don't, but I can't do a thing but watch. Ash and Derek have found themselves on the bottom while the other 4 have made an alliance, but the question is will Yap's agreement to not vote out Ash (spoiler: not really?) and Jared's liking of Derek and wanting to be his "poppa gay" change things around soon?
Ash: Not caring much for her at the moment, she seemed awkward in her interview if you ask me, and her personality is just not meshing well with the others on her tribe, leaving her in the hot seat. Ash wore her heart on her sleeve and was open about her connections unlike 2 people on her own tribe (Jared and Yap), and it has done nothing but hurt her. She doesn't know it, but tugging on Yap's heartstrings I think may save her if Yap has enough pull in this new group that's formed, but I don't know the dynamics of this group.
Derek: One of the ones on Jacmel I like, but is on the bottom with Ash. But he's got a weapon that Ash doesn't: Jared, which could be Derek's saving grace. Like Ash, he doesn't know he's not doing that great, but if he makes himself important enough to Jared, he could find a way out. I'm pulling for him!
Jared: I really enjoy listening to Jared! For now, he has a good position it seems like, and has the ability to go far. His blemish right now is the fact that he has lied about knowing anyone, yet Chronicles is a pretty popular ORG, I feel like very soon someone on that tribe will find out Jared and Yap have been lying, and there will be a confrontation about it. I think it was really dumb to lie about that, but really it is a lose-lose for both Jared and Yap.
Joanne: What a turnaround! From looking like the first to go on this tribe, to finding herself in the majority alliance! I'm glad at least one of the tribes have changed their dynamics early on in the game. I still am not really #TeamJoanne, but she has her sparks of personality that I like to see, so I'm not rooting against her or anything yet. Let's just stop talking about Trevor, no offense to him, but I just wanna hear about you!
Nikki: Fucking love her right now. So funny yet so savvy and aware, and she takes notes just ugh. <3 I hope she continues doing what she is doing because it seems to be working for her! I'm surprised she pulled Joanne into the majority alliance (according to Joanne I believe?), as we were all led to believe it would be a catfight between them *looks at Dru*, but maybe she did this in order to gain some kind of favor with Joanne. And it's only Day 2, maybe the catfight will just have to wait!
Yap: Not a fan yet SORRAY. Get ready for a negative opinion on Yap though. He's already lied to Ash about not voting her at the first vote (even though it hasn't happened yet), and he's lied multiple times about the fact that he knows Jared... I don't see this working well for his reputation within the game. 2 major lies this early could cause some people to back away and find more trustworthy people to work with. He has been the most active on his tribe in strategy talk, and this definitely isn't his ideal UTR method of play, so maybe he will eventually say something that will contradict what he said in the past between both sides of the tribe, and Yap here may find himself on the outs.
