I really loved this episode so much. There were so many great moments and I love how the edits reflected some of the personalities. One thing I noticed though, is that with a series like iSurv1vor that takes place over an online forum is that a lot of things get lost in translation when converted to an actual online episode. For instance, if you are a random stranger stumbling across the episode, you would be confused about a lot of things. I think each episode needs some host narration to give a summary of certain things just help explain and break a few things down to the viewer. Narration would seem tacky on Survivor, but would work for iS. What I would offer as a suggestion is to give a brief narration of what was happening at each camp and then letting the confessionals play out. A recap of challenge results, followed by some confessionals would help as well. There was a scene where Ke-Andre was randomly shown doing a confessional and it said that he was kidnapped to Corazon. This was never explained as a season twist and would likely confuse the viewer if they didn't follow the season as it happened. Some narration and a breakdown of events would have solved this problem. That being said, lets focus on what was amazing about this episode...When the opening sequence started and the first confessionals popped up on the screen, I got giddy and felt a feeling of excitement that I have not felt since Survivor was still new on TV. It took me back to that feeling of nostalgia and made me so excited for the rest of the episode. The confessionals were well edited and condensed perfectly to capture the bottom-line of what was being said so that they didn't go on forever. This was a strong-point that was really on par with the actual show. You guys are doing a good job in letting the confessionals flesh out a story for each episode. Combine that with the narration and you guys have a winning formula. I loved reliving Alyx and Bailey's excitement in the early stages of the game and I loved seeing the in-game conversations between players as they happened. No other ORG would ever show that side of the game and I believe iS has pioneered yet another facet of online reality gaming. Other things I noticed: Audrey had a pretty awful 1st episode edit for a winner. I know it was all circumstantial, but I remember her being a lot more pivotal early on in the game than her edit suggested. It just did not do her any justice and I know that there just wasn't a lot of footage yet for production to use. New viewers are in for a hell of a surprise when they see the level of game she played and how she absolutely bossed this game right to the end without any obstacles. Samm and Brandon still came across as annoying in their edits. Sorry guys, but you did. I was hoping the edit would have maybe changed that, but I guess that was all that there was to work with at that point. Surprisingly, Gray came across way better and I guess it is only fitting considering how well he did in the end. I cant wait to watch the next episode where his gamble on the rattle starts him on his journey as the underdog of the season. All-in-all, fantastic job, guys. Bring on episode 2 ASAP, please ^_^
