Yapp's Confessionals are interesting. Not as in "entertaining" really, just an interesting window into his mind. It's this completely unfocused and unedited stream of consciousness, a constant flow of words and thoughts without filter. He's one of those really outgoing guys who will never be a leader, but would make an astonishingly good salesman.

What's with the Christina passing her idols to Jacob and the Jacemel's passing their idols to Derek?

What's with the Christina passing her idols to Jacob and the Jacemel's passing their idols to Derek? I just saw that... Maybe they're concerned that those two will wind up at Tribal, and they want to load them down with as much firepower as possible. It suggests to me that both of those former tribes are about to go to no-holds-barred war, this round. Maybe? None of them have explained their reasons in Confessional, yet.

So from what I'm getting..
Jacob is trying to flush out Nikki's idol which is super dangerous, and then they're using Cristina's post-tribal null to make one of them go.
And then Derek has Nikki's idol so that they waste Derek's old idol on Nikki because Nikki doesn't have it any more, and then Derek also has a vote null from Jared so in this vote there's essentially three vote nulls, a re-do tribal, a power forced to be used and then two challenge disadvantages in play and it's just going to be a mess of idols resulting in either a Amanda or Nikki boot

But it looks like Liberté will overall prevail. Jacmel has no idea that Jacob has the after vote nullifier, as well as they think Jess Frey has a double vote not a nullifier

I have a request, and I'm going to say pretty please with sugar on top for this one.... can we NOT call the Black Stones "idols"? I gritted my teeth all the way through Charlie's last two Confessionals because he insisted on calling them idols. The word "idol" means only one thing in my brain, and that's an Immunity Idol. Only one of the Stones has that power. My puny mind can't keep it all straight if we keep using the wrong words.
It's important to remember that Christina's rock - the vote nullifier - that she gave to Jacob is used AFTER the votes are read. That's a pretty big advantage, if this becomes a nuclear war of Black Rocks (I keep wanting to call them gris-gris, since that's what they're called in voodoun tradition, but that's likely to be just as confusing for everyone else).
And, in any case, all of this plotting is moot so long as the Caste twist remains in play, since there's no way to know for sure who will be going to Tribal.

Let's call them black balls instead. Most of us like balls so...

The way I see it, it will come down to timing....
Since both the re-do Tribal rock and Christina's vote nullifier rock can be played after the votes are read, it comes down to who speaks up first. If Derek does and plays the Tribal Re-Do, then Christina's vote nullifier is preserved for the re-vote and 12 hours later your likely to get a tie, with both vote nullifiers being played.
If Jacob speaks up first, then the Re-Do still happens, but on the re-do a Liberte vote gets nullified and one of them goes home.
Unless... in the 12 hours between the original Tribal and the Tribal Redux Vic passes on his Immunity Idol AND it gets played accurately, then the ultimate result is one of the Jacmel goes instead.
So, that's what the lines of battle look like. But, as with any battle, the quality of the troops come into play, too.
Derek is working on trying to flip Jacob, but Jacob is thinking "no chance." But he's flirting with the idea. If it goes to a re-done Tribal, and that Tribal goes to a tie.... he might choose now to flip to avoid the Purple Rock.
Amanda isn't super-well positioned among the Liberte people, but I don't think she knows that. I doubt she'll flip, just yet. But it's possible that if the discussions get crazy, she COULD screw up and vote for the wrong person... but I doubt it.
Jessica isn't as well connected to the rest of the Liberte people (I'm still hesitating calling it an "alliance" because I don't think either of the previous tribes are going to stay tight after this vote is done), but her position is still pretty good, since nobody really considers her a threat. And, for the purpose of this vote, she doesn't even realize THAT much, so she has no motivation to do anything but follow along.
Derek should be at least considering flipping, but it's very true that this is awfully early for it. But, at least, he's formed a fairly decent bond with Jacob, it seems, even if I don't think Jacob sees it that way.
Yapp won't budge. He knows it's too early, and still has a lot of pent up loyalty that he needs to shed if he's going to be ready for the aftermath of this vote.
Nikki is.... Nikki. I really don't know what she's thinking. Her little dance number with Vic (both the actual one, and the metaphorical one) makes me wonder if she's getting ready to change things up.... but her willingness to give her rock to Derek tells me "not yet". But if it looks dicey with ties and re-dos and the threat of purple rocks, she might just make the decision to save herself over staying loyal to a suddenly minority crew.
So, yeah. However this goes down, it's going to be convoluted. Wish I could watch it as it happens...

I really really really reaaaallyyyy hope Derek doesn't go home, that would make me really sad =/ I definitely would rather him stay over Nikki and Yapp, they just don't seem to be as into this game as he is.

I don't know, Yapp seems to be pretty into the game (Nikki, it's a lot harder to tell, so you might be right about her). On the other hand, neither Nikki nor Yapp get all emotionally bent out of shape when someone who is definitely an opponent acts like.... an opponent. Derek just annoyed the crap out of me getting all mad that Christina would DARE to steal his gris-gris (I'm just going to call the Black Rocks that from now on, because it amuses me). Get over it, dude. That's what opponents DO in competitive games. Dumbass. That said, I do find him, as a spectator, amusing. He's an energetic speaker, and definitely WANTS to play the game hard. Still, I'm OK with anybody leaving this round. I'm not emotionally tied to any of them. I just hope it doesn't disappoint my expectation of The Crazy.

Yapp barely talks to anyone. There are a few people in the game who have still never Skyped with Yapp. He also is in a few other games at the moment so it seems he is balancing his time between them. I could count on one hand how many calls I have been in that Yapp was in. Nikki is definitely more into the game than Yapp is. But considering how little Yapp is around, I am impressed on how he manages to make a confessional almost every night.
